Tata Punch Creative – Overview

Creative is the top variant for Tata Punch. With ample quality of life and connectivity features Tata targets “digital natives, who want to be always connected and prefer information at their fingertips”.  It adds to almost all aspects of the features we have come to see in the variant leading to it, automizing a bunch of them for convenience. What is extra is the upgraded R16 tires as opposed to the R15 ones and the inclusion of a digital information cluster.

The top model enjoys two more striking colors Blue (Tornado Blue) and Red (Calypso Red) in addition to the long list of color options we get in the previous variants totaling up to 7 colors. All of these are available in dual-tone colors with White (Orcus White), Grey (Daytona Grey), Pewter Blue (Tropical Mist) and Orange (Atomic Orange) paired with black and Blue (Tornado Blue) and Red (Calypso Red) paired with a white roof.

On the feature side, we get Projector HLs, LED DRLs, R16 diamond cut alloys, Roof Rails, TFT instrument cluster, Auto Headlamps, Rain sensing wipers, Auto folding ORVMs, Fully Automatic Temperature Control, Cooled Glove Box, Rear Wiper with Wash, Rear Defogger, Puddle Lamps, Rear Seat Arm Rest, Leather Steering & Gear Knob.

While what is missing is left to the buyers to determine, we do feel the non-inclusion of the physical infotainment button was a missed opportunity. We also feel that the infotainment system itself could be a 9” one and a slightly faster one though the one it comes with is good enough for most cases.

All in all, it is a great car for new buyers who are not sure of what they should get in a car, or don’t trust third party modifiers but have the means to get the best.

A lot of people find the top model too expensive and the factory-installed parts inadequate. We hear a lot of feedback for Speakers but Indian car enthusiasts have a wide range and preferences. There aren’t a lot of opportunities for upgrading in the top model, there are still a few small accessories that a new car needs.
